【自傳】
釋覺明博士目前擔任台灣嘉義南華大學宗教學研究所副教授兼所長。她於1991年於星雲大師座下受戒，成為比丘尼。出家前七年間，她專注於佛光山編修《大藏經》，出家後並佛光山叢林學院擔任佛學講師十年。
1999年，釋覺明博士被派往印度推廣佛教教育。在星雲大師的指導下，她於加爾各答創立了佛光山印度佛學院，許多印度青年在她的教導下完成了佛學訓練。
從2002年到2011年，釋覺明移居印度德里，在德里大學佛教學系取得碩士（M.A.）、哲學碩士（M.Phil.）及博士（Ph.D.）學位。在印度十年的生活中，她深入體驗印度文化與宗教，同時積極推廣人間佛教理念。她在學術與宗教領域均表現出色，研究重點集中於原始佛教歷史與思想及巴利文獻。
釋覺明博士曾參與多場國際研討會，足跡遍及印度、中國、香港、越南及台灣，專注於巴利語研究及人間佛教的學術探討。目前，她致力於促進印度與台灣高校之間的學術合作。
在南華大學任職期間，她每年主持1至2項政府或組織專案，並組織國際會議（包括實體與線上形式）。作為南華大學人間佛教研究中心的代表，她積極接待來自世界各地的學者，推動學術與文化交流，進一步實現學術合作的使命。
